What's for dinner: Weekend eats...

Happy Friday... we made it to the weekend! I missed you all on Wednesday.... so sorry for missing "Midweek Eats"... I owe you something yummy to make up for my absence.

Anywho...check out all the fun foodie events going on this weekend...

When: Saturday, Oct. 1, 11:30am
Location: John Howell Park in the Virginia Highlands
Price: $25
"The best of the best will be battling it off for bragging rights to the juiciest title in Atlanta: Best Burger and we need your vote! 100% of the proceeds from Battle of the Burgers benefits Embraced, a non profit that provides orthopedic and prosthetic equipment to individuals in need, both locally and globally."
When: Saturday, Oct. 1, 12:00pm
Location: Der Biergarten
Price: No entry fee (food/drink cost varies)
"Oktoberfest takes over the Luckie Marietta District as Der Biergarten and STATS team up for the ultimate celebration of Germany’s famed beer festival. The restaurants will transform into a Munich-inspired mecca with authentic décor, live music, premium German beers on tap and classic German cuisine including rotisserie-roasted schweinshaxe and brats. Beer boots will be available for purchase, which guests can bring back for special pricing on refills during the entire Oktoberfest season."

Location: Sweet Auburn Curb Market
Price: $32
"Sweet Auburn Curb Market is steeped in history, but is still vibrant today. This indoor walking tour includes 6-8 of the unique eateries highlighting the market’s diversity. Chat with produce/meat vendors–great sources for cooking tips! Taste your way thru the fascinating history behind the Curb Market and historic Sweet Auburn district."

Location: Fado Irish Pub & Restaurant
Price: $10
"Fadó Irish Pub & Restaurant is hosting its sixth annual Fadóktoberfest street festival. Live music kicks off at 6 p.m. with the Astral Freaks and continues at 9:15 p.m. with the U2 cover band, Desire. Attendees will have the chance to test their strength in a Strongman Stein Holding contest and a bratwurst eating contest will also be held."

When: Sat., Oct. 1, 7-11 p.m.
Price: $85-$90
Location: Ponce City Market
"Green Street Properties celebrates its landmark 10th anniversary and the redevelopment of City Hall East at the newly re-named Ponce City Market. Party at Ponce will be headlined by the Indigo Girls, Shawn Mullins and Francine Reed. There will be food from chefs including Kevin Rathbun of Rathbun’s, Anne Quatrano of Bacchanalia, Linton Hopkins of Restaurant Eugene and more. Event tickets include an optional tour of Ponce City Market."

Field of Greens Festival 
When: Sun., Oct. 2, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Location: Whippoorwill Hollow Farm
Price: $20-$25
"This farm festival in its 6th year will feature 30 of the top Atlanta and Athens farm-to-table chefs cooking under a festival tent at Whippoorwill Hollow Farm, a certified organic farm near Conyers. Tastings from chefs' dishes included in admission. Other festivities include large farmers market, Kids Village, bands and more."
